Where to even start? This year has been PHENOMENAL. As a gym, we have grown more into a staple in the Charlotte fitness community. Our reputation is one of “that gym with all of the really strong people where everyone is incredibly nice and welcoming.”

We have been beyond blessed to work with the greatest videographer and editor @thelousmith on creating some spectacular videos.

Many of you know Dani and Rick (not pictured) but we’re officially a ‘Gym Dog’ gym which we couldn’t be happier about!

We celebrated @iam__erin getting MARRIED!!! Which, if you know Erin, she was definitely acrobatics in her wedding dress. Videos somewhere to prove it.

@neilpeterson_ and Bryson completed the 9/11 stairclimber and absolutely do not want to do that again until the next 9/11 stairclimber. Still cramping from that.

Hive members SHOWED UP with collecting goods for WNC and the hurricane that hit. What an amazing feat we did with raising so many supplies in such a short amount of time and delivering them to those in need.

@questsofalifetime absolutely DESTROYING the competition at his first EVER body building show!

And of course, it wouldn’t be a yearly recap without the huge support our entire member base had with our annual toy drive for @westblvdministry !

There are SO many memories I know we’re missing here. Thank you everyone for such an amazing 2024 and let’s ROCK IT in 2025!

A huge huge MASSIVE thank you to everyone who showed up and brought a smiling face to little boys and girls in the West Charlotte neighborhoods with @westblvdministry! It was a fantastic toy drive. These gifts will be going directly to the hands of children that West Blvd Ministries have been involved with for years. With help from you, we’ve been able to put a smile on the face of all these kids on Christmas morning!

I read a statistic once that was something along the lines of
“Girls should be able to do 1 un assisted pull-up!”
“Guys should squat 2x their body weight!”
“Girls should do 70 pushups straight!”
“Guys should bench press the weight of the car they drive!”
“Girls should run a mile in under 3 minutes!”

Listen. Have goals. Set your OWN goals. Stop letting social media dictate what your goals should be. If you want to get stronger, do it for you. Not to fit the script of some ‘pRoFessIonAl’ who has a thought about what YOU should be able to do.

I don’t know the specifics. I don’t know how many pull-ups a girl should be able to do, how many pushups a guy should do, what weight of squat we SHOULD do. However, I do know that everyone who walks into this gym walks in here with purpose and for a reason. Lean into those reasons, focus on those goals, and be successful in your own eyes.

And if anyone asks, yes @iam__erin just straight up ripped 135 for a few reps in the middle of her workout when we asked her to hop in this video 👏

Listen, we get it. Believe us, we get it. “The holidays just got away from me!” Ehhh….did they really?

Find a reason to go to the gym, not an excuse to stay home. This is the fun part of daily routine! This is where you burn off steam, hang with your gym squad, and work on developing your own discipline. Yes, the holidays are here. How is that any different than any other day of the year? You owe it to yourself to keep your head down and continue the progress you’ve made all of 2024 and go into 2025 stronger than ever rather than kicking off 2025 with a rock in your gut.

Here is an amazing workout for those who have a busy schedule. Let’s split that body into 2 groups — upper and lower body. Today? We’re hitting upper. Let’s get it.

It’s CHRISTMAS!!!!

We’re partnering with @westblvdministry again to provide a magical Christmas morning for those boys and girls in the West Charlotte AND Western NC!

We’re collecting toys for boys and girls ages 3-15! Please keep them unwrapped and place the toys in a large plastic bag. All you need to do is leave it under the Hive tree and we will take it from there!

DEADLINE IS 12/18 TO ENSURE WE HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO PROPERLY ORGANIZE AND PREPARE THE TOYS FOR DROP OFF!
