The worst part is a trainer who you have worked with for a while will never sugar coat the cold hard truth.
What do you do when you don’t feel like working ou What do you do when you don’t feel like working out? You train the thing you love to train the most. 

Today, we’re hitting chest at 50% effort 💪

Save this workout for next time you are in here hitting chest 
Cable chest fly - 3 sets of 12-15. Crank out a few extra presses each set too.
Mega mass chest press - 4 sets of 8-10 reps. Stack weight each set. 
Incline close grip barbell bench press - 4 sets of 8-10 reps
Flat bench pyramid stack - start with a lot of weight and low reps. Increase reps as you decrease weight. 
Tricep burnout- pick your favorite tricep movement and go to town

Not every workout is going to be a life changing experience. Consistency will build your body and progress you towards your goals. Just remember a shitty lift is better than no lift at all.
Trust the process. Why do trainers and coaches do Trust the process.

Why do trainers and coaches do what we do? Because there will be a day where we look at one of our friends/clients/members and your jaw drops. Whether that be an athlete placing first on stage, your client drops a few pant sizes, they nail their first pull up, or even celebrating the win of seeing them multiple times in a week. Whatever the goal is, there is a process to achieve that goal. 

We have so many “fist pump moments” at Hive with all of the above examples. However, I wanted to take a moment to brag about someone who deserves a shout out. @lindseyayn came to us early on in her process..her pathway to being a healthy badass. Today was heavy lower body day and without hesitation, she went to the heaviest bar we had loaded up on the floor. 3-2-1….go. She nailed 10 CLEAN and PROPER and PERFECT deadlifts. The best part? She made it look easy with a smile on her face. With her process and the journey us trainers have been blessed to be a part of, I wanted to snag a picture of how badass and strong this athlete has become. Not only are you a fantastic athlete, Linds, but you’re an amazing human too. 

To trainers and coaches working with any athletic ability, keep at it. Celebrate the wins of those you work with at every step of the process. 

To athletes on their journey and moving through their process, keep at it. There will be a day where YOU look at yourself and your own jaw will drop. 

This thing called life lasts a lifetime. Make sure you celebrate your wins.

Body weight pull-ups : as many reps as you can 
Assisted pull-ups : 3 sets of 8-10 reps 
Supported rows : 4 sets of 12-15 reps
Rear delt fly : 3 sets of 15 reps 
Straight arm pull downs : 3 sets of 15 reps
Ez bar curls : 3 sets of 15-20
Hammer curl 21s : IFKYK

14 spots open, will be walking shelter pups giving 14 spots open, will be walking shelter pups giving them a break from the stress of the shelter, helping them decompress, and give them a highlight of their day breaking out for a few hours.
 
Those who can’t participate are welcome to donate treats to the shelter by bringing them by Hive fitness through the week and dropping them off in a donation box* (we can discuss if this is the best way)
